Elemental: Destiny Embers can be bought as "used" on Amazon

Anyone know if any ARCs were sent out to reviewers? That might explain why some are listed as "used."

Remember those are from independent sellers, not Amazon.  I wouldn't trust what you are getting.

That's just what happens on Amazon. Check just about anything that hasn't been released yet; there are almost always independant sellers already offering it "used."

You are covered by amazon guarantee, so nothing bad can happen...

Possible warning:

The key they supposedly send with the book for the free extra campaign probably will not work on used copies (presumably it would already be used).

I do not see this on Amazon site. May be it was in error.

The link works for me. The reason I posted this thread was to warn others. I preordered it using Amazon "Preorder button". However I found it interesting that someone has this "like new" on the thing he can not have.

It is a little bit problem with the legality of the stuff on Amazon. Six month ago I bought Stargate Atlantis and I think it is a pirate version. However I have not realized it until the final season, because they copied even those anti-pirate warnings. The last season, however, was grabbed from sci-fi channel (it contains advertisements and the logo).

I usually only purchase things from Amazon that Amazon actually ships...plus I have a Prime account so all my 2 day shipping is free.  I should get the book by 8-26 I would guess...looking forward to it.

I've bought stuff on the Amazon Marketplace, but only from actual companies with a very high rating from lots of users. Haven't been disappointed yet. Just gotta be careful who you buy from there and do a little research on the seller (and avoid individuals, obviously). My latest buy was a modem for a good price from Electronica Direct, the order was not fulfilled by Amazon but it was through their Marketplace. I ordered early morning, got shipping notification not even 3 hours later. Can't complain

The cool thing is it's in Amazon's best interest to make sure nothing fishy goes on in the Marketplace. They definitely don't want to get stuck with the image of it being a place people go to get scammed.

Yes at least the first printing will have a code for a bonus campaign based on the book.

No, its a book set in the universe of Elemental. A fantasy novel, nothing to do with ingame stuff

So each book will have different code? Including Kindle books? Or will it be sent separately by e-mail?
