Putting the Map Maker to other uses

So what other uses (outside of Elemental) have people come up with for the map maker?

As I wage a blackberry war and reclaim my parents forest for family use; I've begun restoring, and adding, little elf villages and such across the land.  As I labor, I brainstorm riddles for the finding of these locations.  This Spring we'll have a grand easter egg hunt.  Each location will have a hoard of eggs.  I intend to craft a map for the naming of landmarks using Elementals Map Maker.  The landmark map will aid in the solving of the riddles but won't show the location of the hoards. My older nephew will enjoy the riddle solving while the youngers will enjoy the egg hunt and village discovery.  I think it will be fun.  An Elemental map will add an element of Easter Bunny realism to the hunt :~)

I believe it's already been used on the Dominions_3 forums.

Storm, that's along the lines of what I'm thinking. I'm thinking PnP conversions or retellings inside the game, though.

 

I think it would be interesting to convert the essence, even if not 1 for 1, old modules.  ToEE?  Could be possible if triggers can spawn different maps and depending on the evolution of the mod tools.

I may be reaching a little with that, but I was looking around for any recent game that would allow for that kind of map/scenario/dialog setup and I found myself skipping back to reliable NWN1.  So it isn't exactly an RPG of that ilk, but I bet it could be made into something bearing the same feel.  I could be full of it though.

Well Dungeons are supposed to be put in later, so maybe one could Expand it a bit.
