German Fan-Forum

Hello folks. :D

Due to the fact, that I didnt find any German Fan-Forum for Elemental, I just created one.

www.elementalforum.de.vu

Its small, its ugly, theres advertisement all over. :puke: (Still working on it though)

Maybe there are some German Elemental fans in need of a german forum.

Devs: I suppose its ok to use the same favicon as the official Elemental website? Or would I need to change that?

Very nice, but because the game is in English, most of the German players will stick with these forums. Nevertheless I appreciate your efforts to spread the word in Germany too...   Maybe one day there will be a German translation-mod...

Feel free to start one :-)

The real and only means to spread the word in Germany would be a localized retail version. Since the audience for strategic and roleplaying games (let alone a combination of the two) is pretty large in Germany, it's a shame that it won't happen. Elemental would've gathered many costumers, me thinks.

From the topic Elemental Modding: Part 1 – The Basics :

Inside the Data folder is the English directory. As its name implies, we switch this directory based on localization (so there will eventually be a German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, etc. directory).
End of quote

This sounds like they are doing localized versions after all. :)

Er... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting, at least until the explicitly state that they are doing localizations (which many times has been denied). For what we know, could be only done for modders/users that want to have the game in another language wiithout overwriting original language files?

Then I guess my first mod will be a localization. ^_^
