Elemental: Destiny's Embers

I can't wait for this book. My girlfriend works at a bookstore, which means I should be getting it soon.

However I've read that the Collectors Edition also comes with a book of sorts? Is this the same novel or different?

The book also comes with a campaign based. Does this take place before or after the campaign that ships with the game?

10 more days or so to wait! :D

The Collector's Edition comes with a book called the Hiergamenon. It's more of an encylopedia and history book of the world.

Bad ass! I love when games ship with more lore and history. Bioware does a great job with the codex in Dragon Age. Good to see we will get a physical copy here!

Good luck with your book! I hope to see the series continued! If you ever want to do a signing let me know we are only a little over a state away! ;)

The book is set in the future of the game campaign and the book mini campaign is split in to four sections and follows the characters of the book. Apparently the four sections will be released at diiferent times with the first being in september.

How will collectors' edition purchasers such as myself obtain the book and the book associated mini-campaign?

Buy it in a bookstore?  Pay extra and it will be shipped with the CE?  Is Impulse required to get the mini-campaign?

The book comes with a code that i guess you put into impulse and then you get the campaign downloads as they get released. Stardock are not selling the book so yeah a bookstore or Amazon, book depoistory etc.

I was very surprised that amazon even sells the book in Germany. So I'm happy to get the additional campaign... and maybe a nice story, too  :D

Does anyone know if the Kindle version will have allow you to download the bonus campaign?

I won a signed copy today from a contest at Bigdownload. :) Can't wait for it to arrive. I am almost out of Star Wars books to read so this will make a good new one to start on.

I got the book today and its beginning seems promising. I was reading it in the bus while traveling to work.

Wow, 25 bucks AUD to buy the book from borders in Australia.... search of the net shows the epub is 16USD... crikey that's a lot of cash.

Hope they drop the epub price at some points, the novel is just too expensive right now. Oh well.

I got the book a couple days ago but where do redeem the code?

That price better be for the hardback, cause that's Steep for a paper back.

I am also in australia and I find it by far cheaper to buy books from amazon.co.uk and pay the shipping.  But in this case the book is far cheaper in the US amazon. --

i'm guessing it would be less than $20 Australian to buy and have posted at the slowest postage -  which takes (in my experience) about 2 weeks.  it's actually 23 dollars by itself -- i'll wait until i get some dvd's and include it to reduce the postage..  :)

The Kindle, Sony and .epub versions do not include the code to download the bonus campaign. I have the Sony version for my Sony e-reader and it includes a reference to the page where the code is supposed to be included, but that page is not included.

This is what Brad answered to me in another thread:

Ah yes.  Thanks for the reminder.  Random House has given us permission to set up a system where people who bought the e-book version can put in their order info and it'll work the same. Initially it'll only work with Amazon and Barnes and Noble but we'll add others as we become aware.
