We’re wrapping up work on the gold version of Elemental. Then it’s on to the day 0 version which is largely about polish, balance and tweaking.
Update: The team let me know that there is one more tweak being made that would affect this screenshot that isn't in my build and that's the font face is different in the final gold versus what I have on my machine.
I had to look long and hard to spot something to comment on; the icons for Hit Points and Mana. Could of course be placeholder graphics but they look vastly different, as if the icon of Hit Points didn't have transparency turned on:
I also noticed that the middle bottom segment of the GUI followed another type of border which, IMO, does not look as pleasing as the rest of the UI:

I take it gold means those of us with the download version can start pre-downloading? Or soon thereafter?
No. Not yet.
Unfortunately, "Gold" is a term that is losing the meaning it once had. It is simply the version being sent to manufacturing for distribution in North America, Russia, and Australia.
The only people I would imagine ever playing that version will be people without an Internet connection.
The "release" version is the version that comes out on August 24th. And that version won't be done until a week from today.
Frogboy do you know russian localisation comes out on August 24th or later ? thanks.
