Canada, and Elemental

Canada, and Elemental

Where is it?

Me and many others have tried numerous retailers in canada, for preorders. However not a single one of them heard of the game, or have it. I don't want to buy it digitally, so is there any ETA on when this is available in canada?

Based on my extensive experience with many EB outlets in Richmond, Vancouver, and Langley(all BC, for those not in the know)...don't expect Elemental to show up here for a WHILE in EB.
If ever.

EB in Canada is one of the greatest fails I have ever seen.

Don't mean to be overly negative about it...but I highly suggest other ways of procuring this game if you're Canadian.

Well, I'm just gonna buy the digital version, no big deal.

I would have loved the box and manual though. Oh well, the game is what matters. Plus, no taxes which is a good perk.

EB Games Canada doesn't have it in their system, I went last night to try and pre order it

I am not surprised as my understanding is that there are some issues involving customs that can cause quite a delay when shipping to retail Canada..  Its why I get a lot of Canadian customers at the Gamestop i work at.. BTW Gamestop and EB games are  owned by the same company for those that did not know... this is not the first game release that we saw way before Canada..

Unfortunately he's not kidding. Future Shop doesn't have it either, and the last person who visited a Walmart said they knew nothing about it. Amazon.ca only has this. Amusingly, they do list Destiny's Embers in the books section.

So, I can't think of anybody in Canada that would have it at retail. I get why that's true in Quebec (no french translation or translated packaging), but it's pretty strange for English Canada.

Your options are to cross the border and buy from the US, order from the US (Amazon.com lists it, or Stardock directly), or just buy a digital copy and grab one of those archival DVDs when they come out.

Digital Download plus Boxed Special Edition shipped to me from Stardock. It's the only way to go ;)

I'm going with the digital download. Save a tree and save some oil by skipping a physical box and manual! Plus I long ago gave up trying to get PC games from Canadian retailers at their release, there are usually major delays and the customer service is terrible. Until retailers can have a box in my hands faster than I can get it by waiting for the time it takes to download, I consider their entire business model obsolete.
