I too am having that issue, have yet to find the forums for the beta
Glenn
I don't have WIn 7, but I do have Vista 64. I can't go for more than a few turns in the campaign without crashing.
I am also using Win7 64bit and also experiencing crashes after a few turns in campaign mode.
Go to https://www.elementalgame.com not sure why they don't have it on this forum.
this is giong to sound really stupid but try running the game with the windows resolution window open.
In other words right click on desktop and go to screen resolution. Then keep that window open when you launch the game. I don't know why but there are some games that don't run well in windows7 unless you do this (Starcraft, Command and Conquer, Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy, ect.....)
Same issue vista 64, I either get black screen or title screen and that it program stops responding and I have to kill it with task manager, I have had this problem since beta 3.
no sirs! you, dimstog/rpanic, are NOT having the same issue.
Notice the original post was August 8th. Go find a post that actually pertains to the version of the game you're playing. (I will accept that some bugs may still exist that were in the beta, but I can almost promise it is not this one)
Elemental started working on my Vista 64 machine not sure what fixed it but these are the things that I did. This was all after I deleted all traces of elemental from betas before full release<< so this didn’t seem to help.
Launched directly from Element folder after I did this no go then:
Launched elemental_docs_cleanup and elemental_wipe_prefs located in the elemental folder.
Then tried to launch again from Elemental folder and it worked.
The game will start most of the time and even when it doesn’t it does not go into not responding like it was since beta 3. Could part of the issue be a network problem?
I'm running windows 7 64 bit and have not had any crashes. Hopefully it will stay that way
I've played a long time. Maybe 10 hours since release.
My system is a quad core intel cpu with an nvidia 465 graphics card with recent drivers.
Using Windows 7 x64 with no crashes
using Nvidia 880M with updated drivers
