[Suggestion] Allow champions to use potions/items during tactical combat

This may already be possible just not intuitive enough for me to figure out how to do.  But, I have a sovereign with three health potions who goes into battle with a bandit mob.  After killing all but the last bandit I am down to 3 health.  It would be a risk to attack a bandit I may not kill with the first blow because his counter will almost certainly kill me, so all I need to do is drink one of my health potions and strike away.  However, I can't take my potion because I can't access my inventory and thus my sovereign loses a battle he should have won.

expendable items in general can add alot of depth to tactical battles and even the strategic aspects if players can create them.  If done poorly they can make balance harder to achieve or be alot of micromanagement.  Basically they need to be one of numerous ways to augment your champion's power and to spend your research and resources on.

well as one that prefers a tank build, I can say this much, I would love to have potions to use in combat. Sadly thou, most monsters I come across I have to be x5 times higher in hp or abilities and range just owns. You can go against 45 hp mobs with basicly rank 1 (first ones made) archers and drop the mob. Try doing that with melee, the mob hits you once and u die, so the only way to play is a range game sadly. I was definitly hoping for more melee combat. it basicly nulifies the whole reason to buy armor, swords etc. I think in the end they know this and will fix it, but to op topic, I agree that it would be nice and I actually expected it to work that way, but as Cree pointed out, balance can be then even worse.

Eh in the end it is beta and we really have no idea what their "overall" idea was for combat in the final. Once the final game is out I definitly will put more details thoughts about such things.

I would like the option to use consumables in battle too...it'd really save a sovereign's life to be able to heal mid-combat thanks to a potion.

I have a ton of Healing Nectars I'm not likely to use anyways.

Consumable use in tactical battles should definitely be allowed, but at the cost of AP.
