[suggestion] [documentation] Things that need explaining right off the bat

Couple of quick things that aren't explained at all that I noticed as I started it up for the first time--

Inns and quests - are these only valid for one quest per level?  I did one quest from one inn, found another level 1 inn, but nothing happens when I move onto it.  No more quests??

Unit info screen on unit designer - All the unit stats are posted EXCEPT SIGHT RANGE !  Right now, just looking at it, I have no idea why I would choose an 'Observer' over a 'Peasant'.. (of course going into the upgrade screen shows all the stats)

Tactical Battle Victory screen - What do the numbers under the Swords and Crowns mean ?  I can guess but I shouldnt have to

Unit stats not explained - what does STR, INT, DEX, CHR, etc. do and influence the game?

What is 'Essence' rating of the character?? Why would I want to sacrifice this to another hero?  Again, I can guess, but needs to be explained

Food - Still not sure how this works.. Does each settlement above the capital consume one food if they dont have a farm? Not sure why I would produce 3 food at the capital.

Great stuff!

I agree.

Quest Locations depend on the level of the quest (Level 1: Inn, Level 2: Huts, Level 3: Ruins, Level 4: Dungeons, Level 5: ?).  The number you get is based on the size of the map.

Regarding the unit design screen. I think the key missing thing here is Combat speed. That is probably the difference.

Great feedback though.

End of Frogboy's quote

One thing I noticed is that it's very hard to see how much mana your Sovereign has, unless I'm missing something your sovereign or its group needs to be selected and the mana is displayed in the bottom center circle. There's no way to see it at a glance like HP. I would suggest adding avail/max essence/mana to the same tooltip that pops up when you mouse over the sovereign. Or make it more obvious in the upper right icon on the empire tree.

Yea Agree Spaghetti.

Frogboy, unit design screen does have Combat Speed listed (at least in Beta 4).  But they dont display Sight Range.  I would attach a screenshot but need a host site :(
