Whenever I try to open either the tile or map editor the game freezes with a black screen
Try to wait some time. The editors loads alot in the beginning without giving a feedback currently. Try to open either editor and go for a coffee. If its afterwards still black, then there is a serious issue. Stardock is aware of the black screen and they are considering something to give the users a feedback ingame on this
