I have started a new game and got this start

The map random seed is 1280433143
That's because they didn't upload the map files. We're about to put up an update.
For those of you who are interested, if you want to see the fractal generator in action, try exploring as much as you can the maps it generates. We'll be updating with the seed maps in another hour or so so this is probably the one chance you'll get. 
Would that be the reason for these close starting positions as well?
