They've been working crazy late hours over the weekend and last week. This week they've started to go home at normal times though (when Frog posted they weren't in crunch mode anymore).

The last two weeks have definaly been a blur ;)  Yesterday we all took a break, now we're back in to push out Beta 4, then it's back to resting for a bit.  I want to say the dev team averaged around 180-200 hours in the last two weeks, so nobody can say we were slacking!  Lots of that what wrapping up specifics for the Gold master (cutscenes, campaign, etc), but you'll be seeing alot of that work in Beta 4!

We'll keep ya posted!

They're sitting on a field of victory, enjoying a few well earned comforts. I'm sure Beta will be so great that the entire forum will fall to silence, the devs will be off sleeping after so many long hours and the rest of us will be playing Beta 4.

brad said he would take a brake after elemental was done so does mean the AI is going to get no love from him for 3 months?

similar if some one at stardock or somewhere else makes a mod for D&D 3.5 i would be in heaven.

The last two weeks have definaly been a blur   Yesterday we all took a break played Starcraft II non-stop (btw, Frogboy already finished the campaign), now we're back in to push out Beta 4, then it's back to resting for a bit playing more Starcraft II (Frogboy is trying to get all the achievements).  I want to say the dev team averaged around 180-200 hours in the last two weeks to have more time for Starcraft II, so nobody can say we were slacking!  Lots of that what wrapping up specifics for the Gold master (cutscenes, campaign, etc), but you'll be seeing alot of that work in Beta 4!

We'll keep ya posted if we have time between Starcraft II games!

Mhmm.. maybe I have the wrong job.. @Stardock even during crunchtime you were able to catch so many stars already? I had only time to play for a hour :-) j/k. The real reason I don't had time for MG2 was Elemental Beta :-)

The break was to mod for Civ 5.  Since 2K made Civ V a Steamworks game, Brad isn't supporting it (with good reason).

Honestly, Civ V is looking like a trainwreck right now to me.

This has to be a reference to Starcraft 2 somehow. Galaxy.. well, Starcraft is set in space! And 2, well that's obvious! 106 stars? Gotta be the campaign achievement points.

We're onto you, man! :P

Civ 5 looks ok to me so far.  At least I'll probably pick it up, Civ 4 was good enough for me to trade on faith a bit.  Unlike Starcraft 2, which I'm probably not spending any money on anytime soon.  Or (for any console gamers) the Madden franchise, for the rest of eternity.

*sits and waits for beta 4*

Thanks for the update Boogie and thank everyone there for all the hard work for us will ya.. I think its phenominal that you guys are excited about making this game as we are to have the finished scratch that release  product (since the game will not be finished until everyone (dev's and modders))stops working on it.

I get the odd feeling our job as testers is done and our job as players is about to begin.  :)

180-200 hours over two weeks? That is well a lot.

We all better remember not to whine too much if game gets delayed a bit - after all we dont want the devs to work themself to their death O:)

The effort much appreciated :-)
