SDD primary drive - load elemental on it?

I have a SDD primary/boot drive, it's a small one at 30gb but Windows 7 absolutely loves it.  Applications open near instantly.  The Page file is obviously on the secondary drive.  Has anyone run this configuration?  Do you load your games on that smaller OS/App drive?

Just curious.

I have an Intel-X25M 80 GB SSD and (unfortunately) don't see any difference in loading times.

I have 4 Intel-X25M 80 GB SSDs in Raid 00 on an LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i. I load my current games on the Raid array all the time, as well as most of my apps. Since you only have 30 gb you will have to swap games in and out probably. Right now with the beta what takes the longest in loading up Elemental is the wait to d/l some of the files off of Stardock's servers. This is only for the beta though and once it gets released then that bottleneck won't be there anymore. So loading it on your SSD right now isn't really going to help so much. Being a turn based strategy, I don't really see where you need to load it on there at all though. It isn't like it a fast paced high fps game, so other than a bit shorter loading time when the game goes gold, I don't think there is much benefit from putting Elemental on your SSD...

I have the same as marlowwe.  It won't make much different in loading time.

The main load time in Elemental is the game parsing all those XML files (the people want modding, that's the price <g>).

There's dozens of megabytes of XML the game has to go through.

I couldn't get it to install on my SSD, unfortunately. But yeah, not expecting a big improvement in loading times here.

Ahh thank you.  I wasn't sure if it was my setup or perhaps the game.  I'm going to download it to the secondary drive from now on.
