Thanks Raven, yes, I do have "passion" when it comes to causes where "might makes right!" Personally, I think the current system is designed to "what is the least we have to give society to get the most out of it".
Well, the tipping point of this system is the American Revolution at best and the Terror, Nazi Germany, Stalin's Russia and countless other examples at the worst. If you want a thriving business, you need to retain skilled employees. You can't retain them by treating them like dirt. We are a fallible species. When pressed, we care only about food, clothing, shelter and security.
To me, and my small mind, the tipping points are
unions and corporations
I don't think most people really understand the brave and noble causes of the first unions. It was the first civil rights struggle, not to diminish the 60's civil rights movement which was way overdue. If you look at just what linemen went through to string telegraph and electrical lines up in the past, we would be appalled at what they risked.
Then later, the unions hijacked the corporations. Demanding too much for too little. The pendulum swung too far the other way.
Now, the pendulum is back with the major corporations.
History is a pendulum of "right" and "left". When one gets too much power, results differ, but are ugly.
