[Gameplay Suggestion] [3C] Item Ideas

Suggestions for managing items and loot

A few things I noticed:

1.  When purchasing, getting items, there is no way to know how/what an item does.  The card doesn't pop up.

2.  Requirements for items don't seem to exist anywhere useful.  I buy some traveler'sboots, not knowing if they fit my sovereign's feet!  Guess they were out of my size?

3.  A wearable equipment screen (with a body with item slots) or something would be a nice addition, to tell what items do what, and what you have on a character (be it a sovereign or a hero).  Most of this art is already exists.

4.  At the very least, there should be a mouseover card for each item, describing its abilities and pre-requisites.  Or perhaps a dialog warning that the item is not usable by the character before buying it.

5.  Trading items between various heroes, so that if they get something someone else can use, it can be either put in the wizard's vault at the capitol, or traded between the various heroes.

Thanks,

Ishantil

Mmm, speaking of purchasing items, it always seems a little silly to me that you can buy items for gold, even if said items don't exist anywhere in my kingdom. Enchanted rings, even though I have absolutely no access to crystal? Shop's got 'em. Need a horse? That man can get one for you. Or hey, even if you do have access to the resource - tons of iron stockpiled and you need a sword: can't nip down to your city's armoury to pick one up, you gotta pay the man. Just seems altogether bizarre to me.

That would suggest availibility needs to checked against resource availability.  If you don't have a smithy, you can't make swords.  :)
