Mana regeneration

Mana regeneration

Is there a way to increase your sovereign's mana regeneration per turn?

I don't have much to add as most of what I'd say has already been said.

However, there is no 'creature bug' as the fire giant has a trait that allows for mana regeneration. The mana regeneration of children does seem out of place, but in the end it does give an incentive to use and lose them over your sovereign.

At the moment, I don't think there's a way to change strategic mana regeneration.  I've been trying all night without success.  Would love to know if its possible.

I actually think mana regen is fine and the one per turn is how magic is balanced.  Otherwise, it would be quite easy to summon a ton of elementals and then go on a rampage, killing everything in sight.  This is compounded by elemental shrines.  Control of a couple of these makes even low level damage spells extremely powerful.  And remember, most sovereigns can cast at least two times a turn.

It would be nice if there was an item that was +1 mana regen that cost a lot of gold.  Perhaps 2-3k gold.

If your worried about that, why not have Summons cost X Essence to maintain.   This is subtracted from your total untill you release or the summoned creature is destroyed...  A reason to put points in to wisdom.

Game lore -  Summoning is changing reality to fit your desire, the strain to keep the creature bound is an on going battle of your will over reality. This lowers the total amount of mana you can control.

or something like that..

Yeah, I think that was suggested.  But Stardock recently changed summoning -- you can no longer select it at sovereign creation.  So, I think it's balanced out pretty decently.

Also note that offspring regenerate mana IN BATTLE.  So, if you wait a turn or two, you can often regenerate a casters mana.  Because this doesn't apply to the sovereign, it seems more of a balance issue for the early game.

See https://forums.elementalgame.com/392162/page/1/#2732964 and my previous post in same topic. Ive managed to get Tactical/Strategic mana regeneration for Soveriegns.

Im still trying to figure out a way to have Strategic mana regen without relying on a building. But atm, ive got a ring that provides tactical mana regen, a mana potion, and made it so that shards provide empire wide regen when built.
