What happened to Maps?

1. What happened to map types (islands, etc.)?

 

2. Random Maps, is it just a name?

- If your going to have random maps, there needs to be some input (percentage of Land. Ocean, Mountains, etc.) Hint - go look at Empire, Empire Deluxe, etc.

"Random Maps" aren't random in the traditional sense.  The random map generator takes hundreds of pre-built map sections and pieces them together to create a random world.   However, in beta right now there aren't all that many of these pre-built pieces which means you may see similar maps if you play enough.

Sounds like titles to me, so a random map is just a bunch of random title sets?

Does the Editor give the player the ability to create new title sets?

Would be nice if the player had some input to how many of each different title set is used in creating a random map, like the percentage of water, mountain, titles.

Map types would have been turned off in this Beta. Each Beta has a specific focus they want us to give feedback on and so many areas outside the focus area are switched off.
