3B Suggestion Bring up the city prod screen automatically when job is finished

Like the screens for tech & spell research.

That would be incredibly annoying. I would much rather have some notice that a city is idle than being forced to exit from the city build menu constantly because I don't want to build anything.

That's not what I meant...  I mean, when a building is done being built, have a notice pop up like the spell research, like they do in Civ, where it says 'So & so city has finished building a barracks,' and you have the option to go to city prod screen or just close.  If you close, the city would idle until you go back in and add another job, it wouldn't pop up every turn.

I don't know about the rest of ya, but whenever I have a city finish building a project, I always go in right away to see what else is available to be built.  If nothing's available, then the city just idles...

I don't see why it is needed since you have an icon report that appears on the right on the screen and the city icon in the left is bright when the queue is empty.

BTW, you can only have at max one tech research and one spell research each turn. That isn't the case with cities ...

I've played dozens of games in the beta and those indicators still don't catch my eye, my cities will go many turns idling because I forgot to check on them.  Perhaps if the icon report that appeared on the right flickered faintly when a city finished its build queue I would notice it.

Agreed, this is especially annoying on my 16:9 wide screen monitor, while its my field of view, its not where I'm focusing. The sims3 employed sparkley "eye catches" to draw your attention to something important. Some kind of small and brief white star burst effect would be nice.
