Combat Speed is Too Important

Just tried a couple tactical battles and noticed that combat speed is simply too good. If you have just 1 point more combat speed than your enemy, you can kill them without taking zero damage. Just hit them once and then move back one square. Next turn your enemy will follow you and you can do the same thing over again. Using this tactic I could kill even the most powerful mobs with my sovereign.

I think this needs to be fixed or everyone will just level up their combat speed and solo all neutral mobs with ease.

well its the absense of counterattack like i pointed out in my thread

attacking first is less significant if the enemy counterattack

but yeah the movement is too much important, it could lead to tactical combats that are like cheats where you kite units using these tricks

I agree with you all.

i also have to add that speed 1 is not possible

ai always goes for weakest unit but moving so slow they never catch it

so tactical combat right now is just like world of warcraft "run away little girl" the unit who is targeted kites the enemies while all the rest attack undisturbed and kill everything

a lot of work  is needed

Yeah, totally agreed. Retaliatory strikes are a necessity.

I agree there is no reason to make a unit have defense really. Just make massive amounts of attack damage and speed and you are good.

Counter attack is a great idea. It seems very simple to me, i mean why do they not already counter attack,

Furthermore a Sysetm like in MoM allowing you only two attacks and/or one spell per turn would help. My souvereign (4 combat speed, much int) is simply casting all enemys dead the first turn.
