[.806][Bug/Gameplay]Recruiting cost demands from neutral stacks

In my current game, there was this stack that wondered by me. I tried to recruit and the stack leader said he wanted 375 gold to join me. I figured, cool, I have over 700 gildar and they are equipped so I took them up on their offer.

Then - somehow, I was in the red for 220 gildars. How can I be in the red by paying 375 when I had over 700? Was that 375 PER UNIT? I guess so (should either be some indication of that, or the price quoted should have been 375*number in stack).

Also, another question, why was I even able to recruit them? I can understand if they were a "package deal" but then shouldn't I have been told "you don't have enough gildar!" (and then maybe they attack me because they thought I was screwing around with them).

Happens quite a bit to me too...I think this is a bug they will probably have worked out in the not to distant future.

Yes, this has been reported a few times.  It's like the leader of the stack is quoting his price, and you're not told how much the rest of the stack cost.
