[.806][Gameplay][Suggestion] A quest filled world

Currently questing feels more like a job than something i want to do for fun.  If you quickly research adventuring the land fills up with TONS of quest locations and it is a bit overwhelming.

That is a bit ridiculous.

Maybe they just want us to really test the crap out of Questing spawns.  I agree Questing is def a WIP but hey it's Beta. Hopefully Brad puts all that writing skills into his quests, but then again he is the AI guy but we all like to think of him as the everything guy.

Btw I have 3x as many quests as you \o/

well if they add the mouse over text that tells you if you can complete a quest at a give location, add a quest journal * so we can see current quest and even set one to active) and remove old quest locations ( or again add mouse over text saying this quest was completed) ... then i would be o.k. with it...

personally I would like to see a few less quest and greater rewards as well...

End of Twohawks's quote

I agree.

When it comes to quests I prefer less but deeper well thought out quests with high rewards rather than many small quests. Saying that though; I'm sure that the beta is just giving us a very small bite of what's to come with quests.

I dunno ... quantity is a quality all its own. But definitely have powerful/rare quests that aren't necessarily towards masterquest victory.

I think they are working on the spawning per map size. On a large map, they are much father apart.

so far I still get an over whelming number of spawns on an large map multiple contents.. so many honestly the map seems cluttered..

Thought this might be a good place to point this out as well.

+ Eliminated randomization of spawn ratings of quests as one goes up. I.e. if a player reaches level 4 quests, level 4 quests are going to be spawned, not rand()%4.

This was in the "changes from 3.0 to 3.A" and i think it is a horrible idea to not have lower lvl questst. It seems to go up too fast as it is.

What if later on in a game i want to lvl up a new lvl 1 hero/unit? There would be nothing to kill.

Games like this can become overwelming at times later on and to be able to return to some simple low pressure low risk rpg style stratigic combat could be refreshing. I for one love character development and would hate to just be kinda stuck with what I lvl'd up in the beginning

That is on a large map, and i was on turn 200ish so i havent explored the entire map.  Plus i did several quests already.

aye ... lower level champions should be able to "re-do" weaker quests as long as the rewards apply only to them.

I just feel that even from a story telling point of view. There are always weaker people needing help mybe even let there be multiple quests from the same Inn and you could pick depending on lvl. higher lvl ones would open up as the lvl goes up.

The world would not be as littered with "goodie huts" which i think is a horrible term that takes any fun and/or sense of adventure out of it. Makes me think im playing a Power gamers game

They could even make it so you could visit guilds you've build in town to complete quests associated with said guild.

In a game I just played I waited until a little bit later to research adventuring, and I swear the quest density was 2 or 3 times that in the screenshot. It was so packed, there were usually 6, 7, 8 quest locations all touching one another because there was no room to spread it out.

That is also a consideration, I don't want to level up my quests research until I have my towns mostly built out. Between mountains and quest locations and forests and oceans, if you level up your questing too early, you'll run out of room to properly expand your town.
