To all of these forum goers that continue to whine and criticize....PLEASE STOP. Most of you seem entirely ignorant of the way BETAS work.

THIS IS NOT A DEMO. THIS IS NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT. I've been in a number of Betas, most of them in which the developers weren't NEARLY as communicative or involved with the testers, and they all turned out significantly better than the last beta run were. You all should have seen World Of Warcraft before launch. You would've sworn it would go down in flames (I certainly had my doubts). Starcraft? Had serious growing pains. I was even one of the lucky few that managed to beta test Lord of the Rings Online and I'll tell you, I considered canceling my pre-order based on my experiences.Upon release? Yeah, it was way, way, way better.

Bottom line: I'm not going to say that this game is perfect right now, but IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE. If it sucks on release, which is something I really, really doubt, THEN DON'T BUY IT! No more discussions of whether or not Elemental is "Ready for Prime Time" or what have you. Just continue to contribute constructive criticism and TEST THE BETA, SUPPOSED BETA TESTERS.

hmm 2 flaws with rant

1. LOTRO and WOW beta had bigger budget and bigger team. Elementals Release date is near and developing team is small, and sooo many problems to fix. Not saying it cant be done, but i think mods and updates is what going to make this game good, months after release.

2. If it sucks dont buy? Most people who are complaining or are concerned are people who already bought the game and are playing the beta b/c they ALREADY BOUGHT IT.

I for one am rooting for Elemental to be a great game. I love Stardock, I love great independent games, and looking for a great title to play so dont bad mouth me.

Heh, good sir you've been in a number of betas, and this is how most beta testers voice there feelings towards a game. If you think this is bad take a look at some of the other forums, Starcraft 2 for example. This community is far more civilized than most I've encountered. Never the less I agree it would be nice if people understood how betas really work, but i'm positive the Devs were more than aware of how negetive and postive the community would be. This thread and even my reply isn't very constructive. =/ All I can say is don't let it get to you.

Hi guys.  I'm going to close this thread. We appreciate the support but we really want the beta community to stick together and focus on the beta and not tertiary elements of game development. :)
