Questions for Other Players

There are a few things I have not been able to figure out how to do, and if anyone knows how to do them, I would be quite thrilled to hear.  Also note, I have been playing fallen for a bit, just to feel them out.  I am likely to switch to wraths for a while.

First: how does one build a four unit group?  I have not been able to build one despite trying to research it out.

Second: How do you get armor?  I can't seem to find the tech or building upgrade, but I got tons of metal sitting in piles.

Third: How do I up my essence like crazy?  I built one essence upgrade, and have been leveling, but once I get about 6 levels I just slow down too much, and without armor my guys get eaten up by monsters.  Suggestions?

Finally: Any other tech tree priority tips?

First: Were you playing as Empire or Kingdom?  I think that with Empires, at least, this is bugged in .806, as researching teams and raiding parties does not allow you to train groups of units.  I haven't tried that as a Kingdom yet, but it used to work in previous betas (although I think the Kingdom technology names are different).

Second: Again, Kingdom or Empire?  Playing as Empire, there are defensive technologies that you can research, but they don't seem to do anything.  I was unable to get any armor also.  As Kingdom, however, in previous betas, you could research various levels of armor and equip them after either purchasing them from the items shop or finding them in a goodie hut.

I just started (and crashed) a game as the Altar Kingdom faction, and the armor techs are still there and work, at least through cloth and leather armor.
