[0.806][3A][Gameplay] How one can use the tame world spell ?

The tame world spell costs 1 essence and is supposed to give the player the ability to domesticate wild skath for farming. When I was next to a skath, I have tried this spell, on my sovereign or on the skath, but except the message stating that this spell will use essence, nothing seems to have happened and the only choice I have on the skath is to attack him.

I was wondering that also.  In my case I never found any wild skaths, so I tried casting it on my party and on a town, and neither did anything.

I'm in the same boat.  I wasted all my essence one game trying to figure out what this spell did.

 

Does it do anything at all?
