[.806] Scathing Pit/ Imperial Farm Unvailable

I founded my first city and the scathing pit was not available to be built.

 

I got some research so i unlocked Harvesting which "unlocks improved scathing pits" which did not unlock any form of scathing pits.

 

I continued further and unlocked farming which "unlocks imperial farms" which did not unlock the farms.

 

The scathing pits were in beta 3 so I'm assuming this is a bug.

I've not played Empire yet so i'm unsure if this is the same thing i discovered for Kingdom. To build on fertile land (which i assume is your stumbling block?) you now need the square to be contiguous with the city. No more building on them if they are simply within the area of influence.

For me, the farm didn't show up in the build list until i could reach the square.

Confirming that indeed, you must be connected to the farm, for the farm to show up in the build menu.

 

edit: for both empires and kingdom, btw.

Edit2: able to build skathling pit and greater skathling pit at city level 2, however they only appeared on the list after level 2 was achieved.
