[Crash]Crash following auto-resolve

I attacked a wolf with my sovereign and 2 soldiers, upon hitting auto-resolve the battle did not occur and I was returned to the cloth map. Here I couldnt do anything, none of the functions worked. No movement, no end turn, nothing.
