[Bug?/Gameplay] daughters born with same traits

I've given birth in game to 4 daughters, they are all born with 'Stubborn' and they all have the text 'Will likely not escape from battle'  Is this a bug?  Doesnt seem right that they are ALL born the same.

My Sovereign is female and she has the stubborn, outcast and natural leader traits.

Children are supposed to inherit traits/professions from their same-gender parent, though that they'd get the stubborn trait when only the sovereign can escape battle to begin with (AFAIK) seems a bit odd.
