[Beta 3] problem loading save game. Also sound problem in splash screen

This is a renamed autosave that I got just before the program CTD'd for no apparent reason.

I am unable to load this save game. It either hangs the program when I try and load it, or it gets into the splash movie as it loads and keeps on playing it and never stops.

Also, not an important bug, but the indie splash screen at the start of the game has sound problems. The sound cuts in and out. I have included dumps of my system info. (Previos beta's worked fine on this screen)

Here is a link to the dump files. There are 3 of them. The first one is for the crash to desktop, and the other 2 are for when I tried to load the save game but had to kill the process.

Edit: Never mind on the loading; this appears to be known and with a workaround: https://forums.elementalgame.com/386176

The stuttering sound seems to be due to something that absolutely hogs the CPU during the game load. Something is definitely a little off when even the rather lightweight background after the intro movie maxes out two CPUs ;)
