One of my pioneers was travelling with a peasant as escort. When it founded a new city, the peasant teleported back to my capital city. I have not been able to reproduce this issue, hoerver.
Nevermind that, it happened again.
The only thing I can think of is that I founded this city next to a forest.
Try saving before founding the city, and if it happens, see if it happens consistently if you reload and do it again. If it does, we can use that savegame.
I am affraid I have overwritten that file. Since the auto saves do not load, I cannot verifiy whether or not they are from the same game. That being said, there is something else that might be relevant: I was using a custom sovereign. There seem to be a lot of issues related to these on the forums.
I will try to reproduce the issue from a new game and keep more save files.
