"Tablet style computing device"? If you're talking the likes of iPad, they don't have enough ram to support any games, really. The iPad, for example, has 256 megabytes of memory.

About the only portable device that does have the necessary hardware to run Windows games (and Windows) is a laptop.

I played Galciv2 on a viewsonic tabletPC back in the day.  Great device.

Tablet PCs are really just laptops with a twisty/touch screen :P But yes, that would work.

You know your getting old when touch screen is becoming the norm and you still don't let anyone touch your display devices lol. Touch my screen and die foo.

Seriously tho that sounds awsome. Chilling on the couch playing Elemental on an ipad with wireless multiplayer and all. I'm gonna get even fatter as I get older lol. Just the sounds of laying back with this lightweight screen I can manipulate sounds cool. Why don't they put some more ram in that POS :) Hell my XBOX has more memory then again it runs as hot as the sun and as loud as an indy car. How about some cool pics of Elemental on some custom rigs =)

I know there are some screen-sharing utitlies for the iPad that lets you run applications on your own computer and use your ipad as a "Wireless monitor" of sorts. You might be able to use that.

Otherwise Tablet PCs are your best bet. I believe that Elemental is being designed with netbooks in mind and you "should" be able to play it on very old legacy hardware assuming you're okay with using a Cloth Map for everything.

The Notion Ink Adam, while not yet available (should be soon though) seems to be generating a lot of positive press. I have no idea on it's suitability for gaming but i'm waiting on it myself and hoping it lives up to the hype.

EDIT: Thought i'd add a more useful link to info about it seeing as their web page is a little... lacking. Gizmodo (among others) has a bunch of articles on it.

End of quote

The minimum screen resolution for Elemental is (LTIC) 1024 x 800.

That would be the kind of "tablet" PC you would want to run Elemental on.
