Limited Edition Upgrade - Double shipping?

I pre-ordered Elemental... oh man, forever ago - the digital + boxed version. Now I want to upgrade to the Limited Edition, which is apparently +$20. I'm cool with that, but when I get to checkout, it wants to add $10 for s&h... which was already part of my original order (making total S&H after upgrade $20). Am I understanding this right?

for this I recommend contacting customer service on monday or by email trouble ticket for your impulse account... as my shipping for the limited edition is listed as $10.00

Ok, here's what's going on (for others who run into this) - the S&H is "preliminary" until you log in for the checkout. Once you log in and get to the final checkout screen, it knows whether or not to charge the S&H. In my case, when I got to the final Confirmation page, it dropped the additional S&H and only charged me the bare $20.

I assume it works this way to allow customers who pre-ordered digital-only versions to easily upgrade to the LE (which is a physical product and therefore requires a S&H charge).

Veraxus is right. Once you go through the checkout process the shipping winds up right in the end. It's just the initial number that's wrong.

Something related that I'd like to know (because I first assumed this wasn't the case) - if you buy a boxed version, do you still have access to the digital version and the convenience of an Impulse install?  I guess so since we'd have a CD key, right?

Yes.

can i downgrade?

I ordered the regular box version. I was excited about the original box version hoping for a nice manual full of lore. But i think the regular version will get jibbed, while the Extra version will get all the goodies. Rather not pay that hefty $10 shipping if im not getting anything cool in my regular CD version.

You'd need to contact sales about that since it'd probably involve canceling an already-charged order and reordering.
