The Limited Edition of Elemental comes with a lot of cool stuff including a big canvas map, a poster, a fairly good sized dragon pewter piece. But it also comes with something particularly special: The Hiergamenon. This is a kind of encyclopedia to the world but told from the point of view of a collection of historical figures from Elemental’s past.

To get an idea of what it is like, here are some pictures of the pages. The paperback book comes with the Limited Edition and is around 160 pages.

If you’re already in the beta, you can upgrade to this from the link above.  Because of how expensive the Limited Edition is to produce, we will only guarantee enough units to provide to users who pre-order it.

I'm preordering now, not truly for the stuff although it's neat (and will probably end up on a shelf or in a box with a bunch of other stuff), but because I like what I get when I give Stardock money.  

Speaking with my wallet is sometimes the loudest shout of all. :)

Any idea when the cutoff date for pre-orders will be?  The limited edition sounds awesome, but I'm short the moneys at the moment.  If I have an idea of when the cutoff is I can probably budget it in/find some freelance work to cover it.

Did anyone else notice that when Lord Relias set sail from the port of Calder he took 7 Men and only 1 Woman? That doesn't sound like enough "Breeding Stock" if you ask me. I'll bet some of Relias's Nobles are glad they have metal armor protecting their backside....LoL.

Had a question about the pre-order, maybe I should just ask support but I'm posting the question here first.  I've already ordered the standard edition to be mailed to me, out of the options to upgrade to the limited edition it automatically adds another shipping charge on top of the one from my previous order for a grand total of $90.  Will the shipping costs be recalculated to knock off the additional $10 before the final order is processed?

when I pre-ordered I also did the same as you, when I upgraded at the checkout there was no extra shipping charge to me, so based upon experience I would say that you will be charged for only ONE lot of shipping.

Lord Relias doesn't sound like the "sharing" type to me....LoL. The other seven dudes are screwed...er..not so screwed. I feel bad for those poor dudes.

This is why you need to sign up with the Empire. We get all the peasant women we can drag/cary home. Once at home just chain them to the bed or kitchen stove depending on what their various "skills and attributes" are...Mwhahahaha.

Ok! I took opportunity from the 10% discount to upgrade pre-order and get King Arthur too (last Tuesday, I just showed Excalibur for the 12-13th time to a friend who never saw it before :')   )

 

I'm looking forward to provide frogboy with a few quick bucks get this Hiergamenon and immerse into the lore.

Does someone know when the book (Destiny's Embers?) will be available?

HEY!! Jason Ocampo! I loved his GS reviews. Awesome to hear those guys have gone on to greater things. Kasavin is making games. I know  Ekberg left for something else. And GiantBomb is a fun site. I was going to stick my nose in there too and offer to proofread for you guys.

 

I am wondering if the Hiergamenon is included in both standard(digital)and limited(digital and physical) editions of the game?EDIT answered in another thread. Yes. Got it, thank you:)
