[Crash] System Lockup, requiring reboot.

I have have a somewhat peculiar system for this day and age which seems to have some pretty major compatibility issues with this game. Now, I don't have any issues with any other software applications or games and I use this machine for my primary gaming platform playing everything from Everquest 2 and Age of conan to Dawn of war 2 and Fps like battlefield bad company 2 as well as quite a few of stardocks other games over the years. 

This problem has been happening since the very first BETA release on a;

AMD Fx-60 dual core processor 2.6

Gigabyte  Nforce 2 chipset MB

Radeon HD3850 512 AGP.

WD raptor 140gb 10000rpm SATA harddrive.

2gig ram

I don't get the same issue on my partners nvidia based windows 7 notebook.

Basically completely randomly the game will freeze and I will here a single beep from the motherboard. before the system locks up entirely requiring a complete hard reset.

This sometimes occurs within a few turns or I could play for an entire game (over 300 turns) without a problem.

I must reinforce that I have no crashing issues what so ever on any other games on this machine and should be running pretty much the latest drivers available. Dropbox link contains a rar with Dxdiag, and two debugs generated at last crash. (app data folder and elemental game directory.)

it seems like the game is losing connection to the videocard or something.
