[0.803][suggestion] Inventory screen

Is it possible to revamp the inventory screen?

Currently the items are spread across 4 categories and the slots are spread between them making it quite confusing. You equip an item in one tab and yet it de-equips the item in another tab. It would seem to me to make much more sense to group by slot rather than spread the slots amongst tabs.

Either create a virtual representation of the slots so you can see what are available and what are taken, or group the items into 3 for weapons, armour & clothing and then other. That would make the item system far clearer.

Also starting items can't be sold, can these be made a different shade in the items tab so you can readily see which ones can be sold or not?

I would like (if you don't mind) to see the inventory screen appear in the merchant/shop screen. This is making it bothersome trying to compare what your character using with the items in the shop. Because I have to quit the shop screen first to remember what items my characters have.

I remember bringing up making a sort of "paperdoll" inventory system as is traditionial in many RPGs, which would show your unit's 3d model and have equip slots in the appropriate places (like next to head would be a slot for a helm, hands would have 2 slots at each (one for armor like wristguards and another for weapon/shield, legs would have a lot for pants, feet would have a slot for boots). Stuff like that. Then when you hover your mouse over an item in the inventory, it would highlight which slot it goes in so it would be obvious if it would replace anything. Another thing I'd like is an "ALL" tab that just shows everything you have, and then the 4 categories would just filter through that list when you have lots of stuff and just want to see your weapons, or your armors.

Definitely need a paperdoll inventory and an easy way to transfer items between your Sovereign and Champions.

Suggestion for inventory screen:

Paperdoll with slots on the left side and all items listed on the right side with icons and names. Right click for item descriptions. Icons of all units in the group lined up on top. Drag and drop to equip or transfer items. And double click to equip for those who like double clicking. Clicking on any unit icon opens up their inventory and the current one is also highlighted. Simple and efficient.

U = unit icon

PD = paperdoll with equipment slots, doll could be the 3d model

I--- = item list
