sovereign appearance customization

Hey Stardock / Brad , i've been lurking the forums and following Elemental  since it was announced but i'm not much of a poster , but i just wanted to ask you a little question.

I saw that you have many improvements coming for the map / lands / building graphics and that you have the factions different visual style held up for release.

And, Frogboy said the unit graphics where pretty much done and so far i really like the look of every monsters i have seen during beta.

But will we have see some improvements to the sovereign appearance customization ( more skins / haircuts / faces etc.. ) upon release?

because so far the human / sovereign faces / look are a bit underwhelming , thats my only concern eye candy wise, even if i'm all for the Gameplay > Graphics thing , having nicer charracters gfx wouldnt hurt !

Of course it might only be me , so i'd like to ear everyone's thoughts about this.

I'm more concerned with the clipping of equipment and armor. Especially the portrait poses need more work.

Of course we haven't seen any fallen faces /bodies /hair yet.

Though I would also like to know if they are holding some back from the Beta or if these are just about all the final parts for humans, not that I really mind that much if they are.

I totally agree. The sovereign faces (especially the male ones) need more work. Some of the facial hair looks strange and tacked-on as well. Also, some poses cause "holes" in my shirts to pop up so it looks like my sovereign is a 12 year old goth chick. I would also really like an option for slightly different body shapes, right now everyone looks pretty much the same in stature. We don't have any muscular units, or fat units, or sickly old man units. Everyone's got kind of a ranger/thief feel to their bodies.

I love the potential for customization in this game. But I fully agree with the above posters: we need more options and better graphics for those options. I'm bummed about the female sovereigns as well, with so few armor/weapon options right off.

agreed with the poses.

 

Not just for sovereigns, but units.....I want a hulking brute in my heavy infantry!
