Graphic Error, then Crash cause by 'minimize, restore' opperation

Sometimes the 3D graphics in the pop-up windows, such as the sovereign, are blurry too, and sometimes not. I have tried many different video settings but nothing seems to consistently affect the issue. Minimizing and refreshing has fixed the graphics in some cases, but more often it causes the game to crash. I haven't made it more than a few turns yet.
