Beta 2A - New Movement System

Like

Speeds up game play, before if felt like you were crawling not moving.

Don't Like

Having to chase and npc half way across the map just to try to hire them, seems like a step backwards.

Maybe if you click on an npc they should stop and wait until you talk to them.

I'd like it if your character was within a certain range, could be a hard value or it could be your move value + a few to be able to shout to the guy, "Hey you!" to get his attention. He reacts based on how he feels about you.  He can either begin moving in your direction to join or confront you, stand still and wait for you or flee for his life.

that would be nice but i think the real issue is what happen when they all die.

What do you mean?  They're dead no more NPCs to recruit, although I imagine in the final game they aren't just going to be wandering around the map at the start.  I bet some will show up,, mid-late game too.

This seems a little complicated for a pretty minor issue and I'm not sure how much it would add to gameplay. If they ever do add an alignment/"reputation" system where your actions ingame influence how non-Empires treat you, this might do something. But at the moment, it would probably be easier to just extend the talking range to 2 or 3 tiles.

Movement points didn't adds after levelling...

My sovereign got 4 levels, all points spent into moves, but no any effect.. The adds 0.2 each lvl and not displayed.

PS damn, sorry for double posting, first time forum said error...

Also each lvl movement points still remains at 2.0

UPD another bug - Book of Defence i got from sentinel unit started with me: description says it adds 0.2 movement points (not defence btw) and also useless after reading...
