[.803] Suggestion - Hide equipped armor

I would like the ability to hide armor that i equip on my sovereigns/heroes. That way we maintain our original look and still get the bonus from items we find. I spent a lot of time on my custom hero just to have him look like a peasant when I deck him out in leather pieces. Minor thing but I thought it would be cool...thanks

I would prefer that things be WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get), but can see why folk want their sovereigns and champions to look special.  Suggestion: have special armor assets that are used for Sovereigns and Champions versus the normal armor assets used for the mere mortal chumps.

I actually like this idea.  What's the point of having bizarre tattoos all over your sovereign if the helm and armor cover them up after the first few turns?  :)

You can always invest in the magic line and come up with enchanted rings / cloaks etc...

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to hide equipment on your Sovereign/Champions to preserve their original unique looks.

I wouldn't mind this feature either.

I'm sure it's something we'll see modded in if Stardock isn't interested in it.

Yeah, I would be in favor for the armor but I still believe that giving the user the option is a great idea. If you want your "WYSIWYG" then just dont hide it. I'm just a customization fiend and want to stand out from other soverigns in all stages of the game.

I got a nice starting dress for my sovereign, but it disappeared when I outfitted greaves on her. I was annoyed, to say the least.

Invisible plate armors? Can't say I like the idea. Only the warrior-like Sovereigns should wear armor anyway. Sovereigns should get a special and unique look though even if they wear standard equipment from the store.

Suggestion: STR requirement for armor and weapons so the fragile more wizardly Sovereigns will not run around in Full Plates wielding Greatswords just for the bonuses.

Suggestion 2: Let warrior-sovereigns have appropriate armor and weapons from the start. In fact hand out starting equipment that matches the background pick for all.

Sovereigns who focus on magic should wear only clothing and get spells to protect themselves instead of armor that changes their look.

Armour should have a dampening effect on magic, then.

I agree with the WYSIWYG camp. I've never understood players who expect to get thier "cool" look with no reguards to what the in game actual equipment is.

Also if the look does not match the armor that takes away information at a glace that players can use to judge apponents. That is the character on screen wearing plate mail should have better armor stats than the one wearing a loose fitting tunic.
