[Bug/Graphics] Nvidia 310M - Overlapping menus, Missing textures

The debug.err file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8067364/Beta_2a/310M/debug.err

DxDiag: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8067364/Beta_2a/310M/d1.txt

Screenshots:

Main Menu and Exit dialogue box overlapping, missing textures

Video Options menu (No fields are modifiable)

World creation screen (Center graphic is offcenter)

Map starting screen, with book (Book is un-closeable due to missing "X".  Textures missing in UI behind book)

Notes:

  • This is similar to https://forums.elementalgame.com/383826, except that this is a new (2010) graphics card, and the Impulse menu looks fine.
  • There may be additional errors in debug.err because I had to Alt-Tab to close the Elemental window (because the main menu is inaccessible when the book covering the starting screen can't be closed, so the game can't be exited normally).
  • Someone mentioned reducing the Max Atlas settings.  The problem is that:
  1. The video options aren't modifiable in-game due to this problem.
  2. In order to manually modify the settings in Prefs.ini, I'd need a list of valid (lower) values.  I tried 512x256 and 256x128, with no effect.  If I use a different comp (desktop) to scroll through available settings in Video Options, the default 1024x512 appears to be the lowest setting.

Please try to be clearer about blank vs black, they're quite different things :)

Yeah, my bad -- They're missing textures.  I updated the post.

I'm getting the exact same thing; this is with a Radeon 5850 with the 10.6 drivers, Windows 7 64-bit.

This is exactly the same problem I'm having. Updated drivers and DirectX to no effect.

NVidia GTX285 Drivers: 257.21 Latest I could find on nvidia website. DX 11, updated and windows 7 32 bit.

I had the exact same problem, but I think I managed to fix it.

I went into Prefs.ini in My Documents\My Games\Elemental and changed RegenerateTextureAtlas to 1.  (I also tried choosing a couple different values for the max atlas values, but I think this is the change that fixed it.)

After running the game with that set to 1, the UI appears normal, and I am able to change graphics settings (including the texture atlas setting) without it disappearing again.

Elemental 0.805

2x GeForce 8800 GTS (with SLI), drivers are 257.21

Windows 7 64-bit / DirectX 11

End of TheCybermat's quote

I have just noticed that while I can still change the texture atlas setting, it resets to 1024x512 every time I start the game.  The UI doesn't disappear, though.
