[Bug/Interface] Edge scrolling has never worked correctly

As the title says, I've had trouble with edge scrolling since the very first beta.

Aside from the scrolling just going far too slow by default, I invariably have an issue where I move the mouse to the right side of my monitor but the game scrolls to the lower right.  Scrolling the screen left, top or bottom of the screen works properly.

I've seen this issue reported a few times in this forum but I don't think I've ever seen a response from a dev.

I'm using a widescreen monitor with an Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX at 2560x1600, if that matters.

(In other news, the game also has a habit of stuttering every time I move the mouse away from the edge of the screen to stop scrolling.  I know it's not a poor framerate issue since I generally get a steady 60 FPS when the camera isn't moving.  The framerate is even steady as the screen is scrolling, the stuttering only happens at the instant the scrolling stops.)

Regardless of whether I am zoomed in or out, scrolling does appear to move much too slowly. I'm someone who does not like fast scrolling, so I'm not asking for hyper sensitive scrolling, just something that feels a bit more comfortable (and useful).

It happens to me as well.  This can be confirmed.  In my case, I thought it was caused by multiple monitors.  How is your setup? Are they distinct monitors, or is it a continuous desktop?  For me, they are distinct (as in, if I maximize, it maximizes on one monitor, not across both).

That said, the game is smooth for me.

Are you adjusting the scroll speed settings in the options?  Scrolling was working for me, in fullscreen mode - but not in windowed.

I'm only using one monitor (widescreen), running at a very high resolution.

I have the same two bugs reported in this thread:

Epmode: "I invariably have an issue where I move the mouse to the right side of my monitor but the game scrolls to the lower right.  Scrolling the screen left, top or bottom of the screen works properly."

and

Spicy Mike: "Scrolling was working for me, in fullscreen mode - but not in windowed."

..

I might add that I'm running in the "full screen" windowed mode (though the game doesn't call it that, but it resembles "full screen" windowed mode that I see in other games -- ie: it takes up the whole screen, no caption bar or window borders), which I really like to run the game in because it looks just like running the game in full screen, but makes switching between applications much easier.

Edit: For some reason the quotes didn't come out as quotes so I manually gave them some formatting.

I've fixed the bug with trying to edge scroll right and increased the default scroll speed, and changed the slider for scroll speed option to have notches so that you can get better results.

Edge scrolling doesn't work in windowed mode because if you move your mouse off the window, it loses focus. We used to have it check when it got near the edge, but this caused other errors.

Edge scrolling doesn't work in windowed mode

It might be useful to indicate in the option for tuning edge scrolling speed that it works only for fullscreen.
