[Suggestion] Color-blind feedback

I'm color-blind (red-green) as are a small percentage of your other players.  Here are the things I have trouble with:

1)  I can't tell the difference between common and uncommon (green and yellow) techs.  I can see the red ones.

2)  I have heard that there are several shades of green techs, but I can't see the difference between these AT ALL (if they exist)

Here are some recommendations:

1)  Add symbols of some sort to display common, uncommon, rare.

2)  Use shapes to differentiate techs, not just color.

3)  Add the percentage chance of a tech being researched to the text (I think this may be nice for non-colorblind players as well)

While I'm not color blind, I know plenty of people who are.

I as well-- both my sister and dad to begin with.  I think color-blind "friendly" issues should absolutely be addressed and I think you offer some sound solutions.

Hmm... well, I'm not color blind, and I didn't even know there was different shades of green techs, let alone what that means.

I'd also like color blind support, and these are great suggestions.  I can't tell between the yellow and the green techs, myself.

Please implement these changes.  Approximately 8% of your playerbase will genuinely appreciate it.

So does that mean your icon looks all the same color to you?

There are colorblind-vision 'simulator' packages that can be used for testing how software will look under a variety of different forms of color-blindness. Can't offer any names off the top of my head, but a search should turn them up. It's a good element to add to testing.

the tech you have selected is a different shade from the others, could that be what he's referring to?
