Will there be a Beta 2-B?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere.  Brad recently outlined Beta 2-A, which is supposed to come out sometime this week.  A while back he also posted a tentative Beta schedule (https://forums.elementalgame.com/363845), which mentions Beta 2, Beta 2-A, and Beta 3... does that mean Beta 2-A is the last before Beta 3, or not necessarily?

They said they are doing weekly updates and we really only have 10 Thursdays left until August 24th. If we are going all the way up to a beta 4, then they don't have much time for Cs or Ds. You'll notice that beta 2 link lists custom sovs as 2B yet we are going to get it in 2A. They need to step it up, I'm still worried we aren't going to have enough time to properly test everything.

We're still missing 3/5 of the tech tree and related key systems. They can't really start enabling diplomacy halfway through the modding beta (beta 4), so I'd expect everything else to be turned on by then.

So yes, there will either be some more beta 2s, or several beta 3s.

I think that the game won't be released in this year. Just take a look at the BETA forums...Maybe I am wrong, we shall see. Either way, I am not worried at all, because this game must be close to perfect @ release, so I don't mind, if it will be released in 2011. [Close to perfect = No bugs, CTDs, gfx gliches, everything works like a charm - techs, spells etc & good balance.]

As an update to this - Brad's dev post about 2-A changes and then the one about magic being in beta 3 leads me to think there might not be a 2-B. Though I'm still speculating. :)

lol @ the semi-ambiguous wording of the quoted post.

Since you've answered the, 'There will be a 2-B' question, I have one to add...

You've only confirmed that Beta 2 will go to at least 2-B.  Might we see a 2-C, or is the whole 'Two Patches then we move forward,' thing set in stone?

(Now normally, I wouldn't ask and just assume that there could very well be a C, but that wording's very ambiguous in that regard, and FB, you seem pretty confident about this time-line you've all established for the game.  With only ten weeks left, and you guys slightly ahead of schedule, I just wonder when that extra patch will sneak in and bite us all...  I figure it'll probably be sooner rather than later, knowing Stardock.)

(BTW, that's to say they get stuff out of the way quickly, unlike some other Developers which ignore even some major problems until AFTER the game hits shelves.  It is -not- a poke at Stardock, so please don't flame me.  Thank you!)  ^^
