How To Build Caravans?

How do you build caravans? I've discovered the tech but can't figure out how to build them.

You have to have a command post in a city, then go to the city with the command post and click the "training" tab.  Caravan should be listed after clicking the Train Unit icon.

You send them to another city, and when they arrive they will start going back and forth, trading. They're like the freighters in GalCiv2. When they've traded back and forth a couple of times a path is formed, and a little after that a road is formed.

Call me crazy, wouldn't that make a TON of sense to put that into the unit background information, so the players don't have to guess?

Well it won't let me send it to cities belonging to other nations like gal civ, so I assume it allows for trade between your cities?

Presumably that'll be something you can enable later, once diplomacy is in.

If you click on a caravan in route it says how much they're carrying. But yes, on the kingdom screen it doesn't show any trade income.

You can send caravans to cities of other nations, I have many times.  Sometimes the other leaders contact me and request I send a caravan so we can begin trading...

Its easy.....

Just click on the building people icon.

 

If you want to build any kind of fighter or woker then jsut click on that icon.. if you want to build any buildings then click on that icon...

Click on the city you want to build or train.. and then hit the button.

The first day on this game I was so lost haha. Couldnt figure out where anything was, but now I think I pretty much know where everything is that I need, its a good feeling hehe.

I found that doing a mix of all the research is a godo way to learn what stuff you get and what ones you might want in future games. Each category has some good ones htough no doubt.
