[Beta 2] Cant log into MP

So, as I understand it the mp account login is the same as your impluse account yes?

 

Ok I can log into impluse and launch the game, but I get "Unable to log in, possibely due to incorrect username/password attempting to log into MP :(

 

And yes, it is the right username/password :D

If it happens again, there are some debug files that you can send us.  On Vista and Windows7, zip up the folder C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic\ImpulseReactor and send it to [email protected].  On XP, the folder is D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic\ImpulseReactor.

I'll also speak with the overlay programmer about returning the correct error message.

Iswallie, I've responded to your support ticket and your problem will be taken care of shortly.

The next update will have an updated overlay which should return more helpful error messages.  In the meantime, you can check the folders I mentioned above for the log files and look at one of the files whose name starts with CVPLoginResponse.

If you see the message "Sorry but your account does not have access (a valid registration) to this title" it usually means that your Impulse account uses a different e-mail than the one you provided to the Impulse store when purchasing Elemental.  Support can take care of this problem quickly, so if you e-mail [email protected], it will expedite things if you paste the error message into the e-mail. Otherwise, they'll just forward them to me and I'll have to tell them to fix it. :)
