I used impulse to install the beta. It does not at any point give me any option to change the place where the game was to be installed. I never put games on my OS drive. It messes things up. Please add the possibility to install it on a drive and directory of my choice.
Try looking in the Impulse menu -> Preferences -> Advanced Settings -> Folders -> "Prompt for install directory".
You can change the standard install directory as well.
Thx for the suggestion: I know you can change this in impulse.
Point is: new customers wont. And even though I know it I forgot to put it back on after a reinstall of my system. Standard behaviour for an install program is to present an option at some point (usually custom or advanced install) where people can change it.
Here you will find the game installing when you where still expecting such an option to appear. Ofcourse one could uninstall - and then reinstall the right way but that seems a bit...unfriendly. Right now its needlessly confusing/annoying. Hence the post.

I changed that in impulse, still it has been installed in c:\ (the download has been put into d:\ but not the installation of the downlod).
Be wary, there are 2 installation paths available: one for application, the other for games. Be sure to select games.
