Main Menu Music

I noticed that the main menu music changed in Beta 2 and I just wanted to say that I liked the previous menu music, in Beta 1, better.  Just my opinion, anybody else have an opinion?

I fully agree with this. I absolutely loved the menu music in Beta 1Z. Even though 1Z was no fun to play, I opened up the game just to listen to the menu music. Please bring it back!  :'(

Speaking of the game music, are there tracks in this game that sound almost exactly like some of GalCiv 2's tracks or is it just me?

The new track is called "Beta2MainTheme" and the old theme is still in the music folder, so I would guess this one is temporary.

Yeah, for a moment I was like, "Am I playing GalCiv?" Was interesting.

But yeah, I really want the old one back.

I also prefer the original menu music, the current song is alright but too unoriginal.  The old one was catchy and even had that awesome feature where the main melody faded away while you were looking at options.  I hope they put the old one back in for final release...

I much prefer the new one. It's less "in your face". The old track is good, but it doesn't really belong on the main menu. It'd do great as an ingame track, though.

Good point. I do like the old track though. It had better appear in the full game somewhere.

Oh, and the longer the soundtrack, the better. I never listen to my own music while playing games, to give myself that "authentic" feel. So if I'm gonna be playing this game 200+ hours, it would be nice to have at least 2-4 hours of music.
