yet another beta 2 (8.02) out of memory error while trying to learn the game
dmp download using rar's as the zip is 0 bytes.
all the dmps are on the same computer the dxdiag is in the OP download
I'm having the same problem with windows 7 x64. The game appears to be hitting the 2gb virtual addressable application space limit and crashing. Sins of a Solar Empire had this problem, so did Supreme Commander and a few other games.
I'm guessing they just haven't optimized much yet and textures are eating way to much.
For the purposes of beta testing it would be nice if we can get the .exe to be Large Address Enabled?
It won't solve the problem, and will only work for 64bit OS(or 32bit with a tweak to some extent), but it may be enough to postpone the problem long enough to play through.
I used Visual Studio 10 to add large address aware, after I test it more I will give a detailed bug report.
A lot of us seem to be hitting this problem, I think it's been reported in at least 3 other threads.

We're aware of this issue and this potential workaround. Obviously we hope to not require 2Gb in the first place, but there is always the potential for leaks and memory fragmentation. We want to make long game testing easier, especially as we get close to release.
You cannot easily make a version that will work properly with Large Address Aware enabled, due to DirectX textures being limited to below the 2Gb mark by default. The good news is, we probably can. I've been working on this in a test branch but it needs to go through testing and integration to ensure that it works properly.
