Problems Logging into Impulse

from Elemental Forums

I just pre-ordered the the limited edition version in anticipation of the coming beta.  However I tried to login into Impulse, to ensure I have it setup to show pre-release versions, but I keep getting an error:

"Server not responding, please check your internet connection."

Well my internet connection is fine, and I know I'm using the right password and username (I've tried both my email and forum name) so I'm a little baffled.  Any help would be most appreciated.  Thanks.

I can't provide specific help but have you posted on the Impulse forums?

Thanks!  Apparently IE 8 comes defaulted to have proxy settings (since I use Firefox and never open IE it hasn't been a problem for me before).  Turned that off and viola!

Same problems here-0 in fact I deleted IE a long time ago and only use fire fox- didnt think game companies would require IE....and now im paying for it. this isnt the first time a connection failed for me//

so after installing ie-8 i cant log into impulse... so reading this am I to understand to disable firefox to allow impulse to work via IE?..

ill go try it...

egads- I cant get IE -8 to go anywhere on the net...

firefox and any other net program works fine,,,email/xfire..hyperlobby..steam..etc...

this must be punishment for my disdain of ie.....

doh- misunderstood-- about the proxy settings--

turned em off.. all is well.

*still dont like ie though.. :P
