My pleasures in gaming?

To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their non-warrior gender.

My guilty pleasure is in Red Faction Guerilla.

1. Piss the soldiers off enough until they send a tank at you
2. Use the arc welder to kill driver
3. Steal tank
4. Go on murderous joy ride in tank
5. ????
6. Profit!

The best part is, if you drive it to a safe house, the alert level goes back to green, and you can then use the tank to complete missions. There's on mission in the last area where you have to kill a bunch of snipers in buildings. Horrible on foot. Really easy with a tank. Just fire at the building until the snipers are dead or the building collapses and crushes them.

I also like blowing the supports on bridges as the soldiers (or anyone really  ) go over them

Politically correct Conan. . .frightening.

Mucking about. Sandboxes.

I take pleasure in owning noobs.

It's not a lasting thing, it's not something I go hunting for. But if I stumble upon a noob, he gets a good thrashing, I feel good about it. I have no regrets about destroying people that are just bad at games.

(newbies are another matter)

One more guilty pleasure. In Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, there was a scenario that gave you unlimted money, and your park staying open didn't depend on guest happiness. I would make a successful park, then, when I had a lot of people, I would build a giant sidewalk/staircase as tall as I could, above water. Then I would funnel every guest to that staircase and trap them at the top with the "no entry" signs. Once I had a bunch, I would delete the top of the staircase and watch them all fall into the water, where they would drown. I would time how long it would take them to fall, and see if I could beat my record.

Well, no, it is simply a realization that sometimes women fight.  As much as I would have liked to use the original quote, I have to take into account things like the asari from Mass Effect (who are all women, and so the lamentations I hear would be their partners) and the Sisters of Battle from Warhammer 40k (who are again, women, so any lamentations I hear would be from the male priests they are guarding).

Ummm... You know in Conan there is several famous warrior females right? (The most famous being a pirate or something).

Clearly the quote just means that all fighting females are in fact lesbians.... ....

I love running people over in Far Cry 2. I approach a checkpoint and 3-4 guys start firing at me. Occasionally they're clustered, and I go full speed and paste them, including the fools who thought they could jump away at the last second hahaha.

I like the Persona Games because I get to fight Polytheistic gods with other Polytheistic gods. Angels and Devils too.

Since everyone's listing what they like to do in games, I'll list some of mine.

In Dawn of War II, one of the characters you get, Davian Thule (he's a Dreadnought walker), has this ability called "Emperor's Fist". Basically it makes him smash the ground. It's way better than that makes it sound though.

What I like to do is get Thule stuck into a big mass of small Tyranids/Orks and then use Emperor's Fist. Thule then gibs a bunch of Nids/Orks.

I also enjoy using the Remote Detonation charges that Cyrus has because they have a large AoE, so I can set them up pretty close to a bunch of enemies but not close enough that he'll be revealed by being too close (ALWAYS infiltrate Cyrus when doing this kind of thing, unless you KNOW that the enemy's line-of-sight is blocked), and then run him away a little bit so that he doesn't get caught in the blast, and then laugh at the gibs that you just made.

Works wonderfully for clearing out an objective of enemies.

Fine. Ill talk about what I like in games.

People. I love talking to good characters in games. All to often however they suck and suck hard.

Bioware (and obsidian) make good characters.

Mostly though I love funny characters. Most tend to be drunk/psychopath males (Like Steven Heck omg lol). Very few female characters are funny. Exceptions include Morrigan (Dragon Age) and that teifling from Planescape (i.e. the one with the tail and scottish accent). I can't think of any more...

Also a question, does it make me gay (Im male) if I romance a male as a female character? My friend seems to think so...

I like trying to bring over the Scrin's mother ship to take out a base.  Among other weird strategies to winning in Kane's Wrath.   A daily dose of killing monsters in Titan Quest keeps the doctor away as well.

Thats because when Steam came out it promised so much(Which made me want to like it), but after a while I have come to realize that it doesn't follow through on a lot of those things. Also better systems of game management and purchase have come out.  As for bashing game companies it usually has to do with them doing something to hurt the consumer.. Of course some people are just being fanboys on the issue.

Ah, the Persona games! I never get too far into them, but I keep buying new ones. There was just something to Persona 3's "shoot yourself in the head to summon guardian" mechanic I loved.

Also, along the lines of my love for cheesy/campy dialogue and JRPGS, Disgaea is one of my favorite series. It just combines so many elements I appreciate. In addition to the above cheese factor, it's a tactical RPG, it's essentially endless, skills get better as you use them, and it's very, very open. The storyline missions offer only the tiniest fraction, and you can start doing your own thing straight from the get-go.
