Country Throwdown 2010 was fun

Country Throwdown 2010 (the McDonalds/WMZQ-fest version) was a blast.  My daughter and I both enjoyed it throughly.  As it turned out, she won tickets and a meet and greet with the group Little Big Town so we passed along the tickets that I had already bought to another concert-goer and instead used the tickets that she won (since they were closer to the stage than the tickets I already had would have been).

The meet and greet with the band was nice.  Primarily a photo-op, but still nice.

We bought a "band in a bag" meet and greet opportunity with the group Eli Young Band and that was really nice.  Backstage access for a visit with everyone in that group.  About 20 minutes of behind the stage access with them.  The band in the bag component included the group's most recent CD, a T-shirt, a black & white photo and some other items so for just a few $$ more than it would have cost to buy the T-shirt and CD you got the behind the scenes visit and autograph opportunity (and photo opportunity).  The band was really nice and the people working with them were kind enough to take a photo for us with my camera so we were both in the pic.  (The meet and greet with Little Big Town also allowed us to get both of us in the photo which was cool.)

Definitely a fun day and well worth the ticket purchase price (original ticket purchase), and even better to get upgraded seats for free.
